Delicious Doncaster Food and Drink Festival

We are THRILLED to announce the return of the Delicious Doncaster Food and Drink Festival 31st May - 2nd June 2024.

Prepare your taste buds for a treat! Over three days. Doncaster City Centre will play host to Doncaster’s annual foodie event of the year.

This three-day event will include Street Food Stalls, professional demonstrations and talks, tasting sessions, and bake-off competitions. Aligned with Doncaster Market and the food offer of the International Food Hall, meat, fish, and fruit and veg markets.

Associated entertainment and animation. 

The street food stalls will be located in and around St Sepulchre Gate, Clock Corner/French Gate Precinct, Baxter Gate and Lower High Street with street entertainment also taking place. This will offer a variety of food and drinks from across the world.

There will be a Food Festival entertainment stage based on Clock Corner with a variety of entertainment taking place over the course of the three days.

Doncaster Greatest Bake 2024 competition information:

• Entries to the Under 12's category should be cupcakes only.
• Entries to the Over 12's category is a free choice and you can bake 'owt you like! 

All entry forms should be submitted to Doncaster.Events@doncaster.gov.uk by no later than 5pm on Friday 30th May 2024.

Only ONE entry per person is permitted.

The ‘Under 12’s’ category - judging will be based on the amount of time and effort undertaken by the Under 12 and therefore parental involvement should be as minimal as possible.

All entries should be delivered to the Mansion House, High Street, Doncaster between 10.30am and no later than 11.45am on Sunday 2nd June 2024 together with a copy of this form.

Preliminary judging will take place at 12noon in the Mansion House where two finalists from each category will be selected to go through to the final stage.

The final stage judging will take place at 1.30pm in Mansion House where the expert panel will select a winner from each category.

Both category winners will receive a prize.

We would like to donate all entries to a local charity, to be sold on the day. All proceeds of sale to be received by the said charity. If you do not wish to donate your item to charity, please specify above. If you do not wish to donate, items must be collected immediately after winners are announced and taken away.

Line of events:

June 1st - An Audience with Levi Roots 12pm & 2pm (Click the times to book tickets)

A cosy chat with Levi Roots who will share his background and talk about his rise to fame on Dragon's Den with his Reggae Reggae Sauce at the Mansion House.

June 2nd - Tasting Experience with Tom Surgey 2pm & 3.30pm (Click the times to book tickets)

A wine, beer and cocktail drinks tasting experience in Doncaster's palatial Mansion House. There will be tastings of 4 cocktails (Gin Paloma, Summer Fruit Bramble, Yorkshire Tom Collins, Spiced Rum Old Fashioned). You will also have the opportunity to taste local spirits and brewed beer. Each session will include a mix of locally produced Beers/Craft Ales and Cocktails.

• Adlam's Gin
• Doncaster Brewery Beer 
• McCallum's Gin Liquer 

Entertainment:

Friday: Chicks on Sticks stilt walkers, Chefs on tour and the Queen of Hearts.

Saturday: Comedy Waiters, will be around with a stage performance also. Ukulele Bailey, a local artist, will perform music on a pop-up stage.

Sunday: Elton Wrong will be sharing a performance static and mobile. Local artists, Ali & Dave-o will be performing. Finally, we will have a return of Chicks on Sticks, Chefs on tour and the Queen of Hearts.
