Doncaster is a great destination for shopping. You will find a unique mixture of handmade gifts and local produce from artisan shops and market stalls, plus all the big high street brands.

The Frenchgate shopping centre is a modern, indoor shopping centre with over 100 shops. Lakeside Village is another great shopping destination; a designer outlet with over 45 famous name stores. Other popular places to shop include Bawtry town centre, Tickhill market, Mexborough market, Wheatley Retail Park, the Wool Market, Doncaster Market and Doncaster City Centre.

Doncaster Market takes place on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 8am until 4pm. Here you’ll find an eclectic mix of produce from fish and meat to handmade sweet treats, bistros, and arts & crafts. The market dates from Roman times and is one of the finest open-air markets in England. An Antiques and Second-hand Market is also held on Wednesdays, while a Farmers Market takes place every first and third Wednesday, and every third Sunday each month.

The Wool Market has recently been transformed and refurbished. Here you’ll discover international eateries and there’s lots of delicious home-made foods for you to choose from. Open 6 days a week Tuesday to Sunday, It’s the perfect place to rest and relax whilst you’re out shopping. Look out for the recently discovered medieval well.
