St Leger festival – getting there

One of Doncaster’s most cherished traditions – the St Leger festival – will take place from Wednesday 8 to Saturday 11 September at Doncaster Racecourse, attracting thousands of people and marking the end of the summer.

Getting there by public transport is easy.

If you’re travelling by bus, go to Doncaster Interchange where shuttle bus service 101, departing from stand B2, will take you straight to the racecourse. The journey there will take about 15 minutes. View timetable PDF icon 399kb

Journeys will cost £3 single and £5 return.  Concessionary/discount and local bus tickets will not be valid on the event's special shuttle services. 

If you arrive by train; festival staff will be at the rail station from Thursday to Saturday, to help you find your way around and direct you to the interchange.

To help everyone travel safe, please remember to wear a face covering, unless you’re exempt, while travelling on public transport and in our interchanges and stations. Allow space for yourselves and others around you when you use our interchanges, stations and public transport, wash or sanitise your hands regularly and use contactless payment or buy your ticket in advance if you can.
