The Bird of a Thousand Voices Lands in Doncaster This November

Boris Acket is a conceptual artist based in Amsterdam, working with sound, light, movement and kinetic sculpture. His research-driven practice looks at the systems that shape how we perceive the world around us, often using natural phenomena such as wind, water, gravity and light as both subject and material.

Right Up Our Street and their Community Festival Steering Group have organised the festival, they strive to push boundaries and deliver unique high quality events that all of Doncaster can be proud of. The Festival is about audiences connecting to joy, embracing experiences and participatory moments.

Director of Right Up Our Street Sally Lockey says “Boris Acket's work asks us to imagine flight the way Da Vinci once did — as a shared human dream. That's exactly the spirit of this festival: inclusive, joyful, and built by and for our community. Every year it reminds us what Doncaster can achieve when we come together to celebrate art."

If you live in Doncaster, it’s free but you still have to book a ticket. For Adult visitors from outside of Doncaster, tickets are just £5, with any optional donations helping run Right Up Our Street’s charity-led events.
