Lakeside Village celebrates reaching full occupancy levels

Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping in Doncaster has reached full occupancy, filling all 48 of its units and bucking the national trend.

The retail outlet shopping centre, on White Rose Way, has reached full capacity after Bensons for Beds opened a 6,200 sq ft store at the centre in October.

The announcement also follows the opening of new seasonal gift store Charnwood Entertainment at Lakeside Village, as well as the return of Calendar Club.

Di Mellis, centre manager at Lakeside Village, said: “We’re over the moon to have reached full occupancy – especially at a time when so many retail destinations are under pressure.

“It’s fantastic to have all our units in use and thriving as the festive season approaches, allowing us to give our customers an even better experience and more choice when they visit.

“Our wide range of onsite facilities and extensive free parking play a huge part in attracting new stores to Doncaster and the Lakeside Village site, and this milestone proves testimony to that.”

Other stores operating at the centre include M&S Outlet, Next Outlet, Clarks, The Body Shop and local independent retailer Lakeside Furniture Direct.

Lakeside Village is also home to food and drink offerings, such as a newly-refurbished and extended Greggs, Costa Coffee and Etto Caffe, which opened in November 2021.

Di added: “We’re very proud of the diverse offering we have here at Lakeside Village, creating a great place for people to spend time shopping, catching up with friends, and enjoying a bite to eat.”
