Ahoy There Matey! Digby the dog is a very forgetful pirate pup. He loves to explore, dig and hide his treasure around Scallywag Island but today he just can't remember where he has buried it. His friends that live around Scallywag Island are always willing to give him a helping hand, but before they can give him a nudge in the right direction Digby has to complete one of their action challenges!

Can you help Digby find his friends, do the action challenges and collect the compass point clues to help him find his buried treasure?

With clues to spot and action challenges to complete along the way, this free quest is ideal for families looking to keep the kids busy this summer. Doncaster Mumbler, in partnership with Get Doncaster Moving, have created a ‘Neighbourhood Explorers Quest’. The quest is an action packed picture trail for children to spot and collect clues to help Digby the dog find his treasure.

The Neighbourhood Explorers Quest will be available for families to visit throughout the summer holidays from the 24th July until the 5th of September at Hexthorpe Park, Sandall Park, Welfare Park Stainforth, Dunsville Quarry Park, Campsall Country Park, Thorne Memorial Park, Denaby Memorial Park and Cusworth Hall.

As well as helping Digby find his treasure, there are lots of other fun, pirate themed activities for kids to enjoy at home on the Doncaster Mumbler website. Activities include colouring sheets, I-spy challenge, pirate activities, jokes and more!

The quest has been developed in partnership with Get Doncaster Moving. Councillor Nigel Ball, Portfolio Holder for Public Health, Leisure and Culture, Doncaster Council commented:

“Get Doncaster Moving aims to help Doncaster's communities become healthier and more vibrant, by increasing participation in physical activity and sport. The Neighbourhood Explorers Quest is a
great way to get out and about whilst keeping the kids entertained this summer. The action challenges will keep children active and moving around and can be completed at either one of the
eight locations across Doncaster, or at home.”

As well as the original quests at 8 locations across Doncaster, Caroline Brooks , owner of Doncaster Mumbler, has also created a free Explorers Quest pack that local schools, play groups and
communities can access. Nurseries and community groups will be able to set up their own Explorers Quest throughout the Summer in parks, woods and green spaces. Visit the Doncaster Mumbler
website for details on how to set up your own quest.

Helping families in Doncaster has always been the primary goal at Doncaster Mumbler. We have some lovely parks and green spaces in Doncaster to explore, but as well as the main quests across
the 8 locations we wanted to create something that communities could access for free and set up themselves in their local area or even their own garden!. The Neighbourhood Explorers Quest is
available to anyone that wants to host a trail. We have put together some guidelines to help with the set-up.

Taking part in the quest is fun and easy, you can download our quiz sheet from the Doncaster Mumbler website or printed copies will be available at Doncaster Family Hubs. We also have Pirate
lots of themed games and activities to help entertain kids this Summer” says Caroline.
