"A Storytelling Hand" - An Architectural Drawing Workshop

Learn the secrets of architectural sketching/drawing! This event will demonstrate how such drawing can embolden connections and illuminate narrative, in this case to a unique part of Doncaster's heritage: The Sand House. It is brought to you by The Sand House Charity as part of Heritage Open Days 2025, and will be led by Jacob Peplow, a qualified architect.

PRE-BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL due to limited capacity.

The session will begin with a short presentation about architectural drawings and theory, with examples from global practices, before moving on to a short workshop of drawing the Sand House.

The event is free of charge and is open to adults and children over 12.

Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Places must be booked for both the child/young person and the accompanying adult.

Materials will be provided. but participants are free to bring their own sketchbook, pens, iPad, etc., if they so wish.
