The Old George Inn is a family run country pub and café serving locally sourced great quality pub meals, hot and cold beverages.
The main public house was fully renovated in 2021 and more recently expanded in January 2022 to also open ‘The Shambles Café’ serving breakfast and speciality coffee.
The Shambles (named after it’s history of being a slaughter house) is also the perfect room to book for exclusive private functions – Birthdays, Christenings, Wedding Parties….
With further renovation plans underway for the rest of the site in coming months, keep up to date via our social medial platforms.
The public house was built in circa 1800, previously used as an inn, slaughter house and children’s school room.
We also have a superb children’s playground, set within a 2 acre field, and large beer garden. Wild Camping is also available if you call us on 01405 785635 (toilet facilities accessible, no electric hook-ups currently)
