47 years ago the Scicluna Family from Malta opened a delicatessen on Doncaster Market..

Quickly it became the go to for unusual and hard to find ingredients - the deli was successful on Doncaster Market for some 36 years - restricted opening times by the then council run facility led Josephine Scicluna, the daughter of the family to move the deli to new premises where it stand today

11 years it has been here in this lofty space filled with every imaginable delight

A year ago we were lucky enough for Josie to choose us at The Gentleman Fishmonger to move the business into the next age - after months of refurbishments and the introduction of a fine dining space and an open kitchen where Chef Marcus Ashton-Simpson produces his incredible cuisine we are now bringing the deli produce to an online store in the form of gift boxes and hampers all hand picked and hand packed for you

We believe food, feeding people and nourishing them is the most intimate of activities - it demonstrates love to friends, family, children, the old, the rich and the poor like no other thing can do
