Wellbeing in Nature at Brodsworth Community Woodland

  • Venue/Location:Brodsworth Community Woodland
  • Date:20 Oct 26
  • Tickets:Free

Join us for a relaxing session of mindfulness, foraging, and nature crafts. Spend time outdoors, meet new people, and learn new skills.

Each session starts with some simple mindfulness exercises, to help attendees relax and become aware of the natural surroundings.

Then there is a group catchup, where attendees talk about what they've been up to since last time.

Following that there is a demonstration of either a nature craft or some wild foraging.

Crafts change each session. In the past the group has done:

  • Willow weaving
  • Print making
  • Seed bombs
  • Campfire cooking
  • Fire lighting
  • Mandalas
  • Nature art
  • Mindful photography
  • Air dry clay sculpture
  • Nature diaries

There is often a foraged herbal tea to try, or some other foraged goodies to taste.

Hot drinks and biscuits are provided too.

We have a classroom building called The Holt, but sessions usually take place outside under a canvas shelter.

Activities take place at The Holt, which is a short walk from the main entrance to the woodland on Country Way: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ktHrZmxRWqfmxW946

If you feel you won't be able to walk this distance, we can meet you at the gate and provide a lift across site in our van.

There are no toilet facilities on the Community Woodland.
