Races and the Railway
To celebrate the 250th running of the St Leger classic race this exhibition looks at the role the railways played in popularising the Leger Festival in Doncaster.
It focuses on two years in particular – 1887 and 1890 – when events during the St Leger Festival led to tragedy and a scandal.
