The county’s strongest men and women are gearing up to compete in a special contest at Lakeside Village this summer in a bid to be crowned Man Beasts Yorkshire’s Strongest Man and Woman 2026.
There will be 5 events throughout the day which will feature 3 categories for competitors with up to 10 strongmen and women in each.
The competition will be refereed by the former three times UK’s Strongest Man Champion, Paul Smith and event director two times Guinness World Record Holder Mark Anglesea from Man Beast Strongman events.
Event 1 – Arm dumbbell lift for reps (from floor), Open 90kg, and Women 50kg
Event 2 – Deadlift for reps (NO SUITS, STRAPS PERMITTED), Open 300kg, and Women 160kg
Event 3 – Conan wheel, Open 300kg, and Women 200kg
Event 4 – Yoke 40 metres drop and return, Open 300kg, and Women 200kg
Event 5 – Stone over yoke for reps (TACKY ALOUD), Open 180kg, and Women 120kg
The incredible event is free to attend with spectators and shoppers meet and greets with the athletes and posing for strong man and strong women selfies.
