A full weekend of art, workshops, music, and community activities at St Mary’s Church, Tickhill.

Friday 8 May

An Evening at St Mary’s  19:30–21:30  

A preview evening for the annual Art Exhibition at St Mary's Church, and a first chance to buy wonderful art displayed in the church!

It promises to be a fantastic evening to launch the weekend of art in the church. A special opening night with:

  • A private first look at the art exhibition
  • A welcome drink and canopies 
  • A talk from ceramicist Laura Lee
  • A wine‑tasting talk from The Grape Kitchen

Saturday 9 May

Public Art Exhibition  09:30–16:00  

  • Browse and purchase artworks from local and professional artists.


Metal Embossing Workshop 14:00

  • Learn a unique skill and create your own artwork with Fine Art student Emilia Horrigan.
£12 per person, all materials included and no prior skills needed!


Children’s Flamingo Watercolour Workshop  16:00–17:00  

  • A fun, creative watercolour session led by artist Rosie Smith
  • Children will be painting a beautiful flamingo
  • Perfect for children of all abilities

£15 per child, all materials included.


Sunday 10 May

Public Art Exhibition 12:30–16:30

  • Browse and purchase artworks from local and professional artists.


Judging for the Tickhill Young Artist of the Year Competition 2026  15:00  

  • Open to local children (ages 5–8 and 9–11).
  • Judged by Anita from Davie Fine Arts.
  • Winning entries will appear in Tickhill Today magazine.
  • Hand in entries by Thursday the 7th May!


Children’s Whale Watercolour Workshop  16:00–17:00  

  • Create a flowing whale painting with artist Rosie Smith.
  • £15 per child, all materials included.
