This November, Right Up Our Street's eighth Doncaster Festival of Light brings artwork by Boris Acket to the heart of the city at Doncaster Corn Exchange.

From 19 to 26 November 2026, Doncaster Corn Exchange will welcome The Bird of a Thousand Voices for its UK premiere. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's sketches of a dream machine designed to make humankind fly, the installation combines sound, light, movement and kinetic sculpture to create a striking immersive experience.

Boris Acket is a conceptual artist based in Amsterdam whose work explores the systems that shape how we perceive the world around us, often using natural phenomena such as wind, water, gravity and light as both subject and material.

Presented as part of the Doncaster Festival of Light, the installation offers visitors the chance to experience internationally acclaimed contemporary art in an iconic city-centre setting.
