Doncaster Armed Forces Day

Join the City of Doncaster in celebrating Armed Forces Day with a full day of family‑friendly activities honouring our Armed Forces communities, with special guests The Nottinghamshire Band of Royal Engineers.

The highlight of the day is a military parade through the City Centre which steps off at 11am, this powerful and moving display brings colour, tradition and pride to the heart of Doncaster. The Parade features serving personnel, veterans and uniformed youth cadet groups, reflecting the strong links between the Armed Forces and our local community.

This stirring procession offers a moment to pause, reflect and celebrate the vital role our Armed Forces have played—and continue to play—both at home and overseas.

Following the parade, enjoy an inclusive celebration until 5pm in Elmfield Park with something for everyone to enjoy.

City of Doncaster Council works closely with South Yorkshire Police and relevant bodies to ensure our events are not only great days out but that they are safe for all those attending. You may see large roadblocks and traffic management measures, including parking restrictions as part of event delivery. We can confirm road closures will be in place from 9am and will be removed no later than 12:30pm and that whilst these may be an inconvenience for some, they are a necessary part of event safety management in 2026.
