The World Book Day Treasure Hunt

The hunt is LIVE!

The Official World Book Day® Treasure Hunt has arrived in Doncaster. Grab your phones and register to play or head to the Tourist Information Centre to collect a map to begin!

World Book Day® is a charity on a mission to help every child enjoy the life-changing magic of reading. This hunt supports that goal by making books accessible, interactive, and—most importantly—fun!

The experience is built around three exciting challenges:

• The Hunt: Start at the Tourist Information Centre and use our hunt map to find 10 "Book Zones" hidden in shop windows across the city centre and Lakeside Village.
  
  
• The Reveal: We’ve kept the characters a mystery! Scanning each window marker triggers a surprise on your phone, revealing which of our 10 3D characters has been hiding there.

• Every time you scan a window marker, you’ll unlock a digital Book Stamp for your collection. Find all 10 to complete your collection and head to a registered retailer to get your very own book for just £1
  
  
•  Secret Selfie Journey: Every stop offers a unique AR selfie frame. Within each one, a hidden letter is tucked away. Families must find all 10 to solve the puzzle and win prizes!

Don’t forget to enter the National Book Token competition, after you scan your first stop, to be in with a chance to win one of ten £50 book tokens!

This hunt is completely free to play and requires no app downloads. Simply bring a smartphone and your sense of adventure!

The hunt begins on 12th February and runs until 15th March. It’s free, it’s fun, and it’s waiting for you!
