Doncaster Film Club is a group of film lovers determined to bring a diverse and high-quality roster of films to the good people of Doncaster.
After several successful screenings at the Doncaster Little Theatre, our final screening of the year also promises to be our most prestigious. It's a Wonderful Life has been delighting audiences for almost 80 years, and we are honoured to deliver our largest screening to date in the grounds of the Doncaster Minster. Built in the 12th century, before being rebuilt in 1853 following a fire, Doncaster Minster is a Grade 1 listed building in the heart of the city that provides the perfect backdrop for a film that has wowed audiences for almost 80 years.
Frank Capra's tale of despair, love and eventual redemption is just as embedded in the DNA of Christmastime as mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies (all of which are included in the ticket price). This screening is a culmination of all of our hard work and serves as proof positive that there is a market in Doncaster for high-quality cinema and something different to what is on offer at the multiplexes.
Come and join us for what promises to be our most special screening yet.
