History Book Club: The Plant Works

Free social club at Woodlands Library. Explore the history of the Plant Works, from its beginnings and through the war years. There will be objects and ephemera relating to the railways to handle and prompt discussions.

The History Book Club brings history to life and connects people through books, handling museum objects, sharing stories, and games – No previous knowledge of history required!

Join our community outreach team in February on alternate Wednesdays, at Woodlands Library, DN6 7SB:

Wednesday 15th February , 2-4pm

Wednesday 1st March, 2-4pm

In the first session you will receive a book to borrow from the library in connection with this theme to read over the following two weeks. In the second session we will discuss the books we’ve been reading and take part in activities that help bring the history to life.
