Doncaster Minster, Church St. DN1 1RD

The Minster Church of Saint George is Grade 1 listed. The present church was built to the designs of George Gilbert Scott between 1854 -1858 after the mediaeval church was destroyed by fire in 1853. Amongst its treasures are a clock by Dent and a spectacular five manual organ by the renowned German organ builder Edmund Schulze.

There will be special displays in the Minster relating to the history and architecture of the building. These will be on display between 10.30 – 15.30 from Friday 12th to Friday 19th September (except Sunday 14th).
