Visit Doncaster has launched its brand-new Visitor Guide for 2026 today at Doncaster Racecourse, shining a spotlight on a milestone year for the city as it celebrates the 250th anniversary of the iconic St Leger Festival - the world’s oldest Classic horse race and a cornerstone of Doncaster’s heritage.

Confident, warm and unmistakably proud of its roots, this year’s guide carries the theme ‘Still running on Doncaster spirit’, a tribute to the city’s unstoppable energy and the people who keep it moving forward.
Telling the story of Doncaster’s culture, creativity, sport, green spaces and heritage the guide offers visitors, and residents rediscovering their home, a vibrant overview of what makes the city stand out.
The 2026 edition showcases a packed calendar of events for another great year for culture and events including Donny Fest at the Eco Power Stadium, monthly Mansion House Open Days, DN One LIVE – a free to attend three day music event, a new season of performances at Cast and The Little Theatre, Yorkshire Wildlife Park’s Wild Live 2026, Doncaster Pride and much more.
This year’s guide also includes a feature on outdoor wellness, as well as a double page feature telling the story of the history of the St Leger in Doncaster!
