If you’re looking for fun things to do in Doncaster this weekend then a trip to one of Yorkshire’s most prized racecourse should be top of your list.
As well as experiencing all the delicious food and drink whilst cheering home the horses, this Saturday also features one of Doncaster’s top races – the prestigious Virgin Bet Grimthorpe Chase.
Run over 3 miles and 2 furlongs, the Virgin Bet Grimthorpe Chase Handicap is considered to be a trial for the Grand National. Attracting plenty of the UKs leading jockeys, trainers and owners, the Virgin Bet Grimthorpe Chace meet at Doncaster has kick-started the career of many fascinating horses including Cloudy Lane, The Last Samurai and many more.

Dress Code
Most racegoers choose a smart casual outfit when attending the races and we discourage sportswear and ripped jeans. There are more formal dress codes in place for some of our premier ticket options as well as hospitality and restaurant packages. Please Click here for more information.
Kids Go Free!
Children 17 and under go free to the races when accompanied by an adult (some exclusions apply for Festival fixtures and Live After Racing events). You’ll need to select a child ticket when making your booking.
Book in advance & SAVE!
Book your tickets at least 48 hours before each fixture to benefit from our advance booking discount & save at least 10% when you book early (excludes concessions, which receive a £5 discount when buying tickets on the gate).
Want to come along on the day of racing but haven’t got your ticket yet? No problem! Online ticket sales remain open on the day of racing and you can buy tickets on the gate too by just walking up (unless sold out).
