Doncaster Choral Society will be performing at Alder Grove Methodist Church in the celebration of Easter!
Please note with the closure of Priory Place Methodist Church, where the choir has performed for over forty years, the powerful music and intense drama of the Easter story in Bach’s St John Passion, sung in English, will unfold at a new venue - Alder Grove Methodist Church, Balby DN4 8RF – on Sat March 19th at 7.30pm.
Parking is available on the street and at the RC Church across Warmsworth Road.
The choir will be conducted by Simon Lindley and accompanied on organ and harpsichord by David Holder and Alan Horsey, and by the professional players of The National Festival Orchestra. Guest solo singers are Thomas Asher, Stephen Liley, Philippa Hyde, Margaret McDonald and James Geidt.
