Black Dyke Band
The world famous Black Dyke Band are performing an ‘In tribute’ to Haydn Griffiths MBE concert at Doncaster Minster on Saturday 29th February 2020, 6pm.
Black Dyke Band is the most recorded band in the world with over 350 recordings and growing every year. It is also the most successful contesting band in the world having won the European Championships thirteen times, most recently in 2015,
The late Haydn Griffiths was the great musical director and founder of Armthorpe Elmfield Band.
He created an amazing legacy for the band and was a stalwart in the brass banding world.
The programme will feature music for everyone, including Jupiter (I vow to Thee my Country), Elgar's Nimrod, music from the movies and Black Dyke's spectacular soloists showcase, with the grand finale, Wagner's Procession to the Minster.
