Car parking in Doncaster

There are many car parks in the Doncaster Borough and in addition to the off-street car parking there are on-street pay and display spaces.

Free parking is available at all council operated car parks after 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and all day on Sundays and Bank Holidays (except Good Friday).

Disabled Parking

There are a number of car parks throughout the borough which have disabled parking provisions. These car parks include:

  • Chamber Road Car Park (DN1 3AJ): 8 spaces
  • Chappell Drive East Car Park (DN1 2QT): 550 spaces
  • Chappell Drive West Car Park (DN1 2RF): 400 spaces
  • Market Car Park (DN1 1LP): 26 spaces
  • Mexborough Multi Storey (S64 9DG): 12 spaces
  • Scarborough House Car Park (DN1 2DB): 2 spaces (Saturdays only)

In addition to the disabled car parking spaces, there are over 25 on street pay & display spaces which may be used by disabled persons within the town centre. Park & Ride

Via rail:

Over 108 trains pass through Doncaster station daily linking the town to the major cities of London, York, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Newcastle and further North. The East Coast Main Line is one of Europe's most important rail routes, linking England's and Scotland's capital and passing directly through Doncaster and the region.  

There are 64 trains daily to and from London with Virgin Trains East CoastGrand Central Trains and First Hull Trains all operating on this route. Virgin Trains East Coast are proud owners of Doncaster Station which will see the arrival of the Azuma Trains in 2018 – operated by them bringing faster times, more frequency with a new standard of passenger travel and service.

Doncaster Sheffield Airport is about 9 miles from the railway station and is the UK's fastest growing airport outside of London with 40 destinations making access to Europe and the world possible.

The airport is also served by regular dedicated bus services to Doncaster and Sheffield. There is also the airport's taxi partner, Little Arrow, operating around the clock and with a modern fleet. Doncaster is also only one hour away from the Humber Ports, with P&O Ferries to and from Rotterdam and Zeebrugge.
