It's Christmas !

Welcome to our first ever Santa Safari event at the incredible Yorkshire Wildlife Park!

Supported by Curlys for our animal friends at the Wildlife Foundation

The event is a 3k walk, jog, wheel (chair or buggy) or run around a special festive route in the grounds of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

Taking you on a festive safari visiting the Sea Lions, Gelada Monkeys, Hyenas, Leopards, Giraffe, Rhino, Zebra, Wallabies, Polar Bears, Tigers and Dinosaurs!

What happens on the day?

When you arrive you collect your Christmas card, this is to be pinned on your top. This has your animal wave on it and corresponding start time

We have waves every 10 minutes from 09:00-09:50 taking place (with a 80 person limit per wave)

We then call you forward through the entrance gates, saying hello to the Bush Dogs and the Tapir (who might be eating their Christmas pudding!). Then down to the start next to our Sea Lions (they're practicing their carols for you!)

Then it's off into the park!

Along the way you'll stop off to visit different Animal friends to pick up a Santa hat, an animal mask and a festive treat... then once you've seen the Dinosaurs, you'll join us back out the park at the finish in the hive to receive the most incredible Christmas medal!

Day at the park?

Your ticket supports the WildLife foundation, and you can choose it to include entry into the park or not. 09:00-09:20 waves don't include a park pass and 09:30-09:50 waves do include a park pass. You can also purchase an entry pass for friends and family members at a discounted rate when you sign up to the event so they can join you after the event for a day in the park.

It's going to be one fantastic Santa Safari this Christmas !

We of course encourage you to come dressed up for Christmas or dressed as your favourite animal (we will be!)

Under 3's?

If you have a very little explorer that is joining you on the day and is wanting to join in with the Santa Safari then we have built in an option for your little one, they then receive everything from the Santa stations and the amazing medal. (This is shown as a shop option with your main ticket, so you can add on :) )

You can of course purchase a normal entry ticket which helps support the Foundation.

Babies in prams/push chairs or not involved in the Safari but joining the family on the day aren’t charged and dont need a ticket. This means they wont receive items as they pass around the Santa Safari or a medal at the finish.

Please note this entry just helps to cover some of the event costs.
