One of Yorkshire’s oldest churches, with Saxon origins and mainly Norman architecture. Grade I listed, it features 12th–14th century elements and was restored in 1876. Granted to religious institutions by the Paganels and later owned by Queen Elizabeth I, it came into the Warde family in the 19th century, where it remains today.
