PIT SENSE MINING EXHIBITION - CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Opening this Sunday 2nd February at Cusworth Hall Doncaster...0
The exhibition ends on the 25th September 2020
PIT SENSE MINING EXHIBITION
Explore the borough's mining heritage through personal stories and objects.
The exhibition is being installed this week and it already looks AMAZING.
This exciting exhibition opens in our 'New Dining Room' at the start of February.
The towns, villages and landscapes surrounding the hall are steeped in mining history. The exhibition features artwork and stories from these communities, plus a 1980s space which explores the miners' strike and the day-to-day lives of those affected.
We're open Saturday - Wednesday every week, and entry to the hall is free! Who'll be paying a visit?
The site is bounded to the north by Cusworth Lane, to the east by Cusworth Village and increasingly the urban sprawl of Doncaster, and to the south and west by strips of farmland that have been encroached upon in the south by building and in the west by the A1 (M).
