2019 Headline Events in Doncaster
We have loads of great events lined up for you this spring and summer, here's a brief outline of the major events coming your way.
Wool Market Opening
Friday Night Live at the Wool Market will run EVERY Friday from 29th March until 6th September 2019 (from 6.30pm – 8:30pm) pick up our monthly 'gig guide' to find out which live artists are performing at the Wool Market and other DN1 venues.
Armed Forces Day – 29th June - The town will once again host a parade of serving military, veterans and cadets through the streets to finish in the Market Square. Join us to celebrate and stay for the day. There is something for everyone planned against a backdrop of a 1940’s themed street party.
Dragon Boat – 13th July
The 10th annual Dragon Boat race takes place at Lakeside, but this year promises to be even bigger and better than before. We’re going all out with a family active fun day with lots of live entertainment to enjoy before, during and after the race events.
Doncaster Pride – 17th August
By far the most flamboyant and fabulous date on the calendar; Doncaster Pride celebrates love, diversity, inclusion and mostly having a jolly good time! Organisers will once again be offering up amazing live music and entertainment, fun and games for all the family and a great party atmosphere for all. Don’t miss it.
Warped.con at Doncaster Racecourse – 24 – 25th August
If you love fantastic guests, interesting Q&As, awesome merchandise on the trade stalls, cosplay, classic and modern day gaming, breath-taking props and more… then you'll find them all under one roof at Doncaster Racecourse in 2019. Tickets on sale now.
DN1 Live 6th – 8th September - Friday Night Live draws to a spectacular close with a one off live stage event in the Market Square. This will be supported by a full weekend of live music and performance in the venues across the town centre.
UCI World Championships – 27th September
World-class cycling comes back to Doncaster in September with another huge sporting event of the year place in the town. Athletes, their crews and their fans will be here for exciting race starts and there’ll be lots of other ‘wheelie’ fun stuff happening around town too.
