The KOYLI Museum

Doncaster Museum, including the KOYLI Musuem, will be closed from (and including) Saturday 24th December,and will re-open on Wednesday 4th January.

Thanks to everyone who visited over the past year and we wish you a Happy Christmas. 

The Regimental Gallery of the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, which was founded in 1757,  is located in the same building as Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery. The displays include uniforms, weapons, badges, photos, a model of the Pontefract Barracks, and the Roll of Honour of the 5th Battalion. Also on display is one of the most extensive medal collections in the country.

The King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry Museum has recently been refurbished after recieving £204,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Generous contributions towards the cost of the refurbishment were also made by the Regimental Trustees and the Friends of Doncaster Museums.
