Doncaster Museum Visitor Information
**Please note that the old museum will be closing its doors on the Friday 17th January. The new museum which has been named Danum Gallery, Library and Museum (voted for by the public) is due to open in the summer of 2020**
Admission to Doncaster Museum & Art Gallery is free. Donations are very welcome.
The Museum shop stocks a range of gifts including postcards, souvenirs, framed prints, King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry material and books.
How to find us
The Museum & Art Gallery is easily reached from the town centre, and is a 10 minute walk from the Interchange. From the town centre walk up Hallgate to the top, turn right at the traffic lights and then left at the mini roundabout down Chequer Road.
The 91 bus service from the Interchange stops on route.
Free parking is available to Museum visitors along with further free parking available at the rear of the Museum which is accessable via the side of the Salutation pub, South Parade. Additional parking is also available at the side of the museum after 10 a.m. Please be sure to register your car at the Museum reception. If you have an object you would like to donate to the Museum, or an enquiry about an object, please contact us on 01302 734293 or email firstname.lastname@example.org (with good quality digital photographs). You will put you in touch with the appropriate member of staff to arrange an appointment.
PLEASE DO NOT BRING OBJECTS INTO THE MUSEUM WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT.
