Cusworth Museum

Please note that the Cusworth Hall is also closed on Monday 9th January for staff training.

Visitors will discover the fascinating story of how Doncaster people have lived, worked and entertained themselves from the eighteenth to the twenty-first centuries.

The unique and rich heritage of the town is represented by an enchanting collection of objects, costume and photographs. Our themed displays explore all aspects of daily life, from setting up home and bringing up children, to life at work and leisure time entertainments.

Most of our objects on display were kindly donated by local people over the years, and were once used, worn, played with or treasured in or around the borough by Doncastrians past and present. We are sure that our local visitors will recognise an object that triggers a fond memory!

As well as our permanent displays, we also have a changing programme of exciting temporary exhibitions, so there is always something new to see.
