Free Business School Hopes to Inspire More Ventures in Doncaster

A free business school that comes to Doncaster from the 9 – 20 March is hoping to inspire local residents to start their own businesses.

The Pop-Up Business School is supported by Business Doncaster and helps potential entrepreneurs, small businesses and start-ups right across the UK to take their new ventures towards their first sale. The training schedule includes a mix of practical sessions, one-to-one coaching, workshop sessions and peer support. Workshops topics include starting a business without investment, sales and marketing, building a free website and finding customers.

Councillor Bill Mordue, Cabinet Member for Business, Skills and Economic Development, said: “Bringing the Pop-Up Business School to Doncaster provides an exciting opportunity to anyone in the borough who has always wanted to turn their passion into a business.

“The free course will help give people many of the tools they need to get going with their business idea; from confidence and inspiration to practical knowledge. We know there are plenty of local fledgling ventures out there and our Business Doncaster team are always on hand to provide advice and support.”

Alan Donegan, Co-Founder of the PopUp Business School said "We are very excited about coming to Doncaster, the North of England has historically been an industrial powerhouse and we hope to ignite some of that engrained innovation to create a much-needed jobs boost in the town"

The Pop-Up Business School is available free of charge to participants through sponsorship and funding from Doncaster Council.
