Dynamic duo take top marks with double distinction

RETAIL experts John Magee and Lyndsey Parry have both bagged distinction in their Shopping Centre Management diploma.

The duo from Lakeside Village are celebrating getting top marks in their BCSC Diploma in Shopping Centre Management, from the University College of Estate Management (UCEM).

John Magee, centre manager said: “We are both over the moon to have got a distinction in our diplomas. It was down to lots of hard work and studying. It was great that Realm, asset manager for Lakeside Village, gave us their support to do this.

“Both Lyndsey and I are very hands on managers and we work really closely with the store managers and teams and Lakeside Village. These qualifications are an extra string to our bow and have given us additional skills which we can’t wait to use in our everyday practice.”

Lakeside Village has over 45 stores offering great discounts to the people of Yorkshire. The retail outlet has recently launched a bid to find new food outlets to offer something different to customers and is this year raising funds to help Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Lyndsey Parry, deputy manager at Lakeside Village said: “We are really proud of our achievements. It is hard to work full time and study at the same time.

“Thankfully we have both had a lot of hands on retail management experience to bring to our studies.”

Lakeside Village, is owned by Kent County Council with DTZ Investment Management operating as fund manager and Realm as asset manager for the shopping outlet.
