Doncaster Minster is “Good to Go” certified and are now open Monday – Saturday from 11am – 1pm for visitors and tourists.

From Monday 3rd August, Doncaster are again open for visitors to come and see the fabulous architecture, carvings and amazing and beautiful stained glass of this Grade 1 Listed building. In addition, they are also able to offer a separate place of peace and tranquillity for those seeking a place for private prayer or meditation in the Forman Chapel, which is reserved for that purpose.

It is a slightly different experience to ensure social distancing procedures can take place and, although there is no need to book, there will be some restrictions on numbers that the Minster can accommodate at any one time. A clearly defined route has been devised to enable visitors to experience the wonders of the building in safety. The popular Minster shop has reopened so that visitors can buy a range of souvenirs, guides, cards and guide books. Purchasers are asked to either pay by card or with the correct amount for items as change cannot be given.

All visitors will be asked to supply details to comply with the Test, Track and Trace procedures and are asked to follow the instructions from stewards, so that all can “enjoy the defining landmark structure in Doncaster”.
