Christmas gets started with a bang at Lakeside Village

Shoppers at Lakeside Village are in for a fantastic festive launch this Christmas.

The Seasonal Festivities launch on December 1 will see Santa’s Workshop Experience officially open to the public, two free Christmas movies being screened throughout the day and a special performance from local band Bang Bang Romeo.

Centre Manager, Di Rodgers, said: “We’ve got a cram packed day of fun planned for our customers on December 1.

“Our customers requested family favourites, The Grinch and Elf, which will be shown on the big screen and we’ve got biscuit decorating workshops running throughout the day.

“For this first time, this year, Lakeside Village is presenting an experience to see Father Christmas. Amongst the books, the goods, curiosities and oddities of Santa’s workshop, children will enjoy an adventure that leads them to Santa Claus!”

Families are invited to go on an adventure to meet the great gift giver himself. Pre booking for the Santa’s Workshop Experience is highly recommended and can be done via the website.

“We’re offering free mulled wine and roasted chestnuts to add to the Christmas experience and our festive food traders will be selling Yorkshire Pudding Wraps and German sausages.

“There are lots of other fun activities going on throughout the day with Bang Bang Romeo rounding off the event by performing between 3pm and 3.40pm.

“This is going to a fantastic family fun day filled with festivities and lots of Christmas magic,” added Di.

The Grinch (2018) will be shown at 11am and Elf (2003) will be shown at 1pm. There will be chances to raise funds for Lakeside Village’s charity of the year, Donmentia, throughout the day.
