There may be some slight showers this weekend but not to worry,we have some fanastic events taking place in Doncaster that you just won't want to miss!
From a crafting show, to a music festival to a theatre performance.. we're sure that there's something for everyone.
Saturday 15th – Sunday 16th July.
Stephanie Weightman’s award winning Crafting Live show will be at Doncaster Racecourse again this weekend bringing a whole host of crafty celebrities.
Throughout Saturday and Sunday, you can visit a vast range of exhibitors stocking stamps, dies, decoupage, fabric, ribbon and much more.
You can stock up on all of your craft essentials, as well as finding inspiration from brand new products. There are also refreshment options and areas to have a much needed sit down after all that shopping!

Saturday 15th July.
It’s Fast, Fun and Family Friendly.
Come, see and support up to 36 teams of 10 rowers’ racing in decorated 30 foot Dragon Boats over a 200 metre course to be crowned the Doncaster Dragon Boat Challenge Champions of 2017.
They all want to win! But who will take the crown from the 2016 Champions ‘Denton & Nickels III’ who won the final in 57.33 seconds.
This event is fun and exciting to watch and has a real purpose of helping raise money for Charities and good causes.
This event is free to attend and starts at 11am.
Saturday 15th July.
The fabulous Askern Music Festival returns for the second year and this year it’s bigger, better and certain to be the hit of the summer.
The festival is very family friendly, with not only awesome music but great and unique food outlets, lots of open spaces and a fabulous fully stocked bar.
With confirmed acts such as The Pigeon Detectives, The Jackobins, Ginger Tom, The Americas and Days of Riot, this really is an event not to be missed!

4: Jungle Book
Saturday 15th July.
Come along and experience spectacular street-dance and breath-taking circus combine in this critically acclaimed production from award-winning Metta Theatre brings Kipling’s classic tale crashing into the 21st Century.
Mowgli is finding her way in the urban jungle. With a beat-boxing bin man Baloo, graffiti artist Bagheera and a skateboarding Wolf crew, this heart-warming coming of age story will astonish and amaze.

Friday 14th July – Sunday 16th July.
Come along to the Summer Festival on the Miners Welfare Ground. Once inside all the rides, bouncy castles and activities put on by the Parish Council are FREE.
There are also various Food Vans, Market Stalls, Sweet Stalls, Ice Cream Van, Face Painting, Henna Tattoos, Go Karts, Health Stands, Owl Rescue and more.
Fantastic Live Bands are on Friday and Saturday evening from 7 pm to 11 pm and on Sunday afternoon from 3pm to 5 pm.

- £5 for the weekend
There is no need to pre book for this event.
Sunday 16th July.
This isn't any normal family fun day, there will be exciting activities and performances such as:
- A swing band
- Irish dancers
- Axe throwing
- Miniature train rides
- Indoor caving/weaselling
A fantastic selection of food and drink will also be available on the day including further stalls.
As well as all of the fun activities above there will be a fun dog show which includes free Micro chipping. You can enter your dogs on the day.
Come along to this free, fun filled day from 12:30pm – 4:30pm.
