5 of The Best 8-9th December

Another week is over and we have another Saturday and Sunday crammed-full of Christmas cheer with these five events taking place in Doncaster this weekend.

So many of the town's biggest attractions are pulling out all of the stops to bring you festive fun as well as some traditional Christmas music in some really atmospheric venues. Read on and find out which five we've selected this week, but don't forget that there are lots more ideas on our What's On page you can find here.

1. Yorkshire Wildlife Park Christmas Fair

YWP, Brockholes Lane, Branton, Doncaster, DN4 6TB

Experience over sixty festive stalls in a giant heated marquee, with oodles of craft, gift, food and drink stalls to explore this Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th December.

Be dazzled by live festive entertainment and take a ride on the Victorian fairground amusements. The 100-acre park will be enchanted by Christmas elves, Polar Bear Santa and Christmas characters spreading festive goodwill during special walkabout appearances.

Father Christmas will be at Santa’s Grotto on all four days of the Fairs and there will also be live entertainment all day on a stage in the courtyard with a magician, brass bands and singers performing Christmas song.

Not only do you get all that this weekend, but also next, the 15th and 16th December.

The fair will open at 10am and close at 5.30pm, with the wildlife park closing at 4pm. Last entry to the park will be no later than 3pm. Admission prices apply, annual pass members go FREE.
