Anything happening Saturday afternoon...? Need some suggestions that don't involve the football?
Here are our '5 of The Best' events taking place across Doncaster this weekend (no football - promise...well, may one small reference)
Visit Doncaster and Rotary Club of St George’s Dragon Boat Challenge takes place, this Saturday the 7th July on the lake at Lakeside, Doncaster.
Dragon Boat Racing caters for all adult ages in one crew, male and female, mixed abilities and people with disabilities. It requires no previous experience and above all is great fun, consisting of 10 paddlers and 1 drummer, competing in 30 foot Dragon Boats.
The first race is scheduled for 10:30am with our nail-biting final at 2:30pm. Come down and cheer on your favourite teams as they battle it out in this contest of rowing prowess, strength, timing and most importantly teamwork.
With the weather set to be another scorcher it's a great way to spend some time outside and raising money for worthy causes. See you there!
Town Field is transformed this Sunday from 12 noon as the Town Field Gala returns for 2018!
This always-popular and really well attended event gets bigger and better every year.The Gala is a fun-filled community afternoon of entertainment, attracting over 2000 visitors.
As well as having a great time, you're helping out this non-profit event, all pitch fees raised will go directly to Doncaster & Bassetlaw Kidney Association to help and support local kidney patient and their families.
Fairground rides, stalls, live entertainment, emergency vehicles and much more.
Head over to the Walled Gardens at Woodfield Park for their fantastic Summer Fayre.
Sunday 8th July from 11am - 4pm, off Tickhill Road, Doncaster, DN4 8QP.

Come and join in the fun this Sunday at 11:00am as Cusworth Hall launch their first ever Dog Show at Cusworth Park. Enter your four-legged friend in one of our light-hearted categories listed below:

- Waggiest tail
- Best dressed dog
- Cutest puppy
- Smallest dog
- Biggest dog
- Most talented dog
- Best young owner
There will also be a selection of doggy-related stalls, activities and entertainment. A fun day out not to be missed!
