If you're looking for weekend ideas for Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th January, we've compiled our '5 of The Best'

1. Doncaster Dome

With the newly refurbished lagoons as well as outstanding ice skating and sports facilities, why not take the family for some fun and fitness this weekend? With over 1 million visitors every year The Dome is now one of the UK's top 5 Sports and Leisure attractions encompassing every type of entertainment available; in fact it now has so many activities, it is almost impossible to try everything in one day!

2. The Magic of Motown

From 4th January to 4th February Cast plays home to a sensational musical show. Revel in hit after hit as the incredible,  theatrical treat celebrates the legend of solid-gold artistes the Supremes, Temptations, Jackson 5, Isley Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie and more.

3. Doncaster Market

If, like us you're on a New Year diet and health kick, why not try Doncaster Market for some of the best fresh produce around? Fantastic fish, marvellous meat and fabulous fruit and veg available for all of those virtuous meals, as well as housewares, clothes, gifts and much more. Saturday is always a full market day and with plenty of buses and town centre parking available, you'll not have to carry all your shopping very far either! 

4. Robinson Crusoe

You can still catch a panto this weekend - oh no you can't - oh, yes you can! The Little Theatre's fantastic production of the classic Robinson Crusoe is on both Saturday matinee and Saturday evening. Get caught by the bungling fools, cross bones and skull duggery, meet Mumbo Jumbo and…. Robinson Crusoe’s real live parrot!

5. Doncaster Knights vs. Munster 'A'

Wrap up warm and come along to Castle Park on Saturday afternoon for an sporting spectacle. If you've never been to cheer on the Doncaster Knights before, why not make it a New Year's resolution and try something new? Soak up the atmosphere and friendly banter in the crowd.
