5 of The Best 6-7 October
The first weekend in October has rolled around and if like us you're looking forward to carving pumpkins, scary costumes, Trick-or-Treating and all things Halloween, you'll be pleased to hear that over the next couple of weeks there are lots of seasonal events coming up in the events calendar.
For now, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th October we've got sports games, fantastic live music and something a little different... keep reading to learn about that.

Doncaster Little Theatre, 1 King Street, Doncaster, DN1 1JD
This Saturday evening be taken back in time with a celebration of great songs and sounds from the 50s and 60s.
The new Music Masters have emerged as arguably the hottest band on the 50s and 60s scene. The band has an ability to so perfectly recreate the sound and atmosphere of the era of music scene when British music sent an exciting buzz around the country.
The musicians of the Music Masters have a musical pedigree that's second to none and have been band members with the likes of Dave Berry, The Sheffields and Joe Cocker.

Castle Park, Armthorpe Road, Doncaster, DN2 5QB
The Doncaster Knights are back iwith home game action this weekend, as they welcome Jersey Rugby Club to Castle Park RFU.
The 14:30 kick-off on Saturday 6th October, sees an eighth place Knights hoping to turn round a recent couple of losses with a win against tenth place Jersey.
Head down to Castle Park on Saturday afternoon to lend your support and experience some thrilling rugby union action.

Keepmoat Stadium, Stadium Way, Doncaster, DN4 5JW
Doncaster Rovers FC are at home again this Saturday 6th October at the Keepmoat Stadium, welcoming visitors Fleetwood Town FC for a 15:00 kick off.
Currently sitting at third in the table, Rovers should be feeling confident going into the match but will always need the support of the town behind them, so be there this Saturday and lend your voices to cheer them on to a win.

On Sunday 7th October at 14:00 at Cast, prepare to be blown away by the incredibly talented young people in the Doncaster Youth Jazz Association.
If you've never seen these guys play, you don't know what you're missing. This week they're filling the main space auditorium with forty-five years of jazz and swing as part of their 'Big Band Celebration', it promises to be an incredible afternoon of timeless music from this golden era.

Imperial Brewery & Bar, Cliff Street, Mexborough, South Yorkshire, S64 9HU
This is going to be a thoroughly entertaining evening of an award ceremony at the Imperial Club Sunday October 7th 2018 between 7:00pm and 11:45pm.
The evening will include live, grassroots music, food and of course the awards ceremony again hosted by Chris (the man in a hat) Martin and the brilliant Lexi Broadz, in a celebration of Yorkshire's grassroots music at this great venue in Mexborough.
As well as the fantastic array of ales on offer, the evening will include an auction and of course some great food, this year, a Hog Roast (and a vegetarian option).
The atmosphere at The Imperial is very down to earth and grass-rootsy. Dress code is however you best feel comfortable. This promises to be a really fun night to celebrate and value the great work done by everybody involved in getting local music out there and recognising the diverse creativity that is Yorkshire's grass roots music scene.
