Highs of 16 degrees in Doncaster this weekend…beautiful! This week’s edition of 5 of the Best, I am going to be recommending all the best outdoor activities for you. We don’t know how long the nice weather will last so let’s make the most of it! So here you go, 5 of the Best what’s on guide…

  1. Club Doncaster Bike Library

23rd February, 10am-3pm and 24th February, 10am-2pm, Keepmoat Stadium *Prior booking only*

This weekend is the perfect opportunity for a family bike ride. Did you know that Rovers Bike Library offers free bike loans operating from the Keepmoat Stadium? Well you do now.

They also offer guided cycle rides around the lakeside which is located right next to the stadium, ideal for families exploring the scenic landscape and cycling greenways that link the local area. They provide maps and fun activities for children to make the Bike Library interactive and enjoyable for all.

Loan length: Up to a day or for events (on request)

  1. Boston Park Farm

All year round

Boston Park Farm is a traditional working farm where children can get up close with a wide range of farm animals. You can pet and feed most of the animals too. The whole experience is geared up to suit children up to around 10 years old. They have outdoor play equipment, a mini maze and bale pyramid. Also inside there is a soft play area which is suitable for babies and toddlers and a large indoor sandpit. You and your child can have hours of fun exploring everything the farm has to offer.

Lend your support and raise your voices as the Dons take on Hunslet in this BetFred League 1 match.

  1. Antique & Collectors Fair

24th February from 9.30am to 4.30pm, Doncaster Racecourse                             

Ok so this isn’t strictly an outdoor activity but it still gets you out the house. This event is perfect for all you treasure hunters out there. Browse up to 400 Antique and Collectables stalls at this fantastic indoor exhibition hall.
