5 Of The Best - 2-3 Sept
The first weekend of September is upon us and so the last of the Summer holidays.
We're promised some nice early-Autumn weather, so why not make the most of it by getting out and about - perhaps taking us up on our 5 of The Best suggestions for this weekend, the 2nd and 3rd September?
Martin Black shows what a heart-warming man he is by touching on every subject and leaving no stone unturned in his search to become a working class hero.
Armed with streets of punk and the folkie hunger for revolution, marrying the two distinctive genres by trying to turn folk on its ear and punk to its knees with his sharp lyricism and upbeat melodies, he’s on his way to becoming the man he set out to be.
Saturday 2nd September from 19:30
Advanced tickets are £5 per person and can be bought by using the link below.
2. Doncaster Rovers vs. Peterborough Utd.
Kicking off on Saturday at 3pm, join us at the Keepmoat Stadium in fine voice to cheer on the mighty Rovers in their push for 2017/18 season success.

As part of the year-long program of organised Doncaster community walks, why not take in the views of one of the prettiest parts of the borough on Saturday morning?
Meeting at Brodsworth Community Woodland Car Park, Long lands Lane, Brodsworth, DN5 7XB at 10:30am for a prompt start.
A pleasant 5 mile walk over the former colliery waste tip and on to Highfields Park, taking in views over to the Yorkshire Wolds from the top of the hill.
This walk is classified as dog friendly and a relaxed pace.

Come and speak to staff about the different roles you could get involved with in the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust at Doncaster's own Potteric Carr.
If you've never visited Potteric Carr Nature Reserve, what are you waiting for?
With nature paths suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs will wind you around a stunning, safe wetland habitat littered with pockets of woodland and wildflower meadows.
Hides allow you to get up close and personal with birds such as woodpeckers and kingfishers and during your wander you may also encounter mammals such as roe deer and hedgehogs.
The ponds provide a home for newts, frogs and whirligig beetles with staff on hand to show you the best spots for pond dipping.
An even better welcome awaits visitors with the opening of the new visitor centre that will further enhance the experience of all those that come to the site having a brand new shop and tearoom with lakeside views.
