Your Stay in Doncaster - Family Fun

Day One: If you're planning a weekend away with the family and want to be active, then try The Dome for a morning session of multiple pools, flumes and slides as well as an ice rink and an array of other activities for all the family. There will definitely be some hungry munchkins ready for lunch after that.

Whether you're looking for a branded cafe, restaurant or pub or something unique to Doncaster we have plenty of options to choose from Eating out choices.  From Lakeside, to the town centre to village and rural delights there really is something for every taste and budget.

After lunch and in need of something sweet why not head to Sunnybank Farm, and make sure you sample the huge range of homemade ice cream. Sunnybank make all 40 varieties on the premises, and each artisan recipe has been personally created using fresh Yorkshire milk, double cream and, wherever possible, locally sourced and produced ingredients.

For an evening with the kids, check out the listings at either of the two town centre theatres, Cast and The Little Theatre. Both offer varied programmes including many family-friendly plays and concerts.

Day Two - there's lots of educational and fun attractions for all the family. If you've never visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park it's an absolute must-see. Situated just outside Doncaster but easily accessed by car or public transport, the park occupies 70 acres of a 260 acre site. Offering a unique view into the world of animals with walkthough areas including Lemur Woods and Wallaby Walkabout, South America Viva, Polar Bears two critically endangered black rhinos!

Let your little monkeys let off some steam in the indoor fun-tastic Monkey Playhouse. With tree houses, high rope walks and slides, there is something to keep all ages active. Call into Zoom, our Super Slide Barn that also provides hours of entertainment.

Also, why not indulge in some hands-on history at Conisbrough Castle. This fascinating English Heritage site  features romantic castle ruins and restored building with stunning views over Conisbrough. The 12 century castle inspired Sir Walter Scott's Ivanhoe and still fires the imagination today. With floors and roof restored in the lofty circular keep you can fully appreciate the magnificence of the original building. Delve into the medieval world of Lord and Lady de Warenne, and enjoy the grassy areas around the castle walls for games and picnics.

One Day in Doncaster - A Thrillseekers paradise...

If you're heading to Doncaster for a bit of adrenaline then Bawtry Paintball & Multi-Activity Centre (BPF) is a great place to visit.
