Austerfield Field Centre:
The Centre is situated in the village of Austerfield, near Bawtry and offers excellent opportunities to discover both the built and natural environment. It gives children first hand experience in how to care for these environments.
Activities cover a variety of educational areas particularly science, geography and history and include collecting pond life samples, making and following pictorial trails, river studies, Victorian studies and many more. The Centre even has a specialised animal room housing live exotic species. There is an opportunity to camp overnight in the summer months in the centre's first class tents. All programmes are conducted by qualified, caring and enthusiastic centre staff.
Within the old school building there is our main William Bradford room with smart board and wifi, The Mayflower room with executive meeting table and a seating area, Self catering kitchen, Toilets/washrooms.
Residential: 2 heated dormitories each sleeps 20 children and 2 adults.You will need to bring a single sheet, pillow and a sleeping bag. Use of main building, kitchen, washrooms included in hire.
Camping: 30 tents sleeping 2 or 3, Use of main building, kitchen, washrooms included in hire.
On Site: 3 fully equipped classrooms, 1 animal classroom, Secure fenced field, BBQ available to hire, Pond, 2 Observatories
