Keep Up with Keeping Fit

Now is the time when most people will give up on New Year fitness resolutions but this year, fitness-phobes are being urged to sign up for new exercise activities at the Keepmoat Stadium, which will take training to another level.

Stadium Fitness at the Doncaster venue, has introduced a new bout of lively and unique gym classes for members and non-members alike encouraging those tired of dull exercise regimes to get involved in the enjoyable workouts.

Kick Box Fit is a new class designed to be taken at a variety of paces to suit all fitness abilities, whilst aiming to trim, tone, build on coordination skills and teaching self defence techniques.

Also on the agenda is the popular, upbeat aerobic dance workout Zumba, pedal power, body pump, the calming mind and body classes and for an all-round fitness session legs, bums and tums is perfect.

The fitness suite at the stadium is one of only a few gyms in the area to have a dynamic ‘Kenesis’ wall, a stationary unit which has attached free weight facilities moved around to create over 400 movements for a customised exercise regime, for a fun, gut busting resistance circuit to reinforce core stability.

The fitness suite also boasts 60 other fitness stations including treadmills, bikes, cross trainers, rowing machines and a variety of free weight areas.

Julie Nichol, stadium manager said: “When the New Year begins it’s always a brilliant chance to turn over a new leaf and up fitness levels, but sometimes regular monotonous exercise routines can be off putting and by the time February comes around we have lost all drive and motivation.

“We are thrilled to able to provide these new fun-filled activities which cater to all fitness abilities, bringing back motivation and enjoyment to all those who try them out.

“At only £22 per month, members can access all fitness classes, use the fitness suite and equipment, the steam room and sauna and the outdoor athletics track off peak when the local sports club isn’t using the area – great facilities at fantastic prices.”

For further information or to sign up for a class, please call the Keepmoat Stadium on 01302 762565.
